Plant has gray green foliage with mauve colored flowers that are used as a good cut flower.  Leaves  can be used in teas, desserts, cheeses, meats and most popularly in making perfumes.  It grows 24-30" tall in full sun to part shade.  Lavenders need to be grown in well drained soil to prevent root rot.  Perennial Zone 5-9.
