Plant has 2-3" long, green needle-like leaves with a peppery aroma and taste.  It has pinkish flowers in summer.  Leaves are used fresh or dried in meats, stuffings, teas and other cooking recipes.   it grows 12-18" tall by 12" wide in full sun to part shade in well drained soil.  Prune regularly to help keep plant compact.  Annual.
